all millenieals, gen x, and boomers are "From Reddit ". I have a funny image which proves this
My favorite part of Zuckerberg's Joe Rogan interview is when he suggests there is not enough masculine energy at his company, where two out of every three employees is a man.
I love with the ACA has done for people with pre-existing conditions. But. Let's face reality, ACA 2013 was a different world. Since then Insurance Companies have learned how to game the system. For the subsidized silver/94 and /87 plans, around ~15 % of taxpayer $ stays with ins comps!
Put new bookshelves into our spare room and it made a world of difference. This is all of our graphic novels, zines, fiction and nonfiction. My home office also has multiple bookcases of film books.
I've been trying to understand why I feel the particular flavor of distressed that I do right now. I think it's because we can no longer discuss the lessons we should be learning from any kind of disaster without the worst chucklefucks coming out of the woodwork to wreck everything.
As officials try to determine the cause of a fire that burned an estimated 7,000 structures in and around Altadena, investigators keep returning to one place: an electrical transmission tower in Eaton Canyon. Read the full story: www.latimes.com/california/s...

Schiff: "I've been in Congress a long time approving aid after disasters. I never once even considered 'is this hurricane hitting a red or blue state?' ... we need the incoming president to view it that way."
Shout out to anyone else just taking down their Christmas stuff today. Hey, if the tree dumps all its needles where it stands, it’s going to be lighter when you haul it to the curb!
A sad length of tinsel garland lies dead on the floor next to a scattering of dry pine needles, both drained of their holiday magic. The corner of a Persian rug pokes into frame, only to regret it.

Been in L.A. for two years and I still miss New York, but I will admit that when someone in L.A. says they had a magical experience it’s like locking eyes with a coyote under a full moon and when someone in New York says it they mean they witnessed a guy dressed as Ant-Man get kicked by a cop horse.
I love this man. Not only is he one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, but he’s an incredibly talented and inspiring filmmaker and truly a wonderful human being, too. I know there are many of these—too many—but please considering helping Josh & Lauren and anywhere you can.

One of the worst things in sports is when there's a doink and then all the replays after the missed field goal don't have the doink sound again
First craft project of the year ✅ Found this cute vintage folding sewing basket for $1.29 that I reupholstered! It looks simple but was actually a nightmare because the original was likely sewn up and then the wooden parts were slotted through the fabric. Had to hand sew some parts to reassemble it😭

I made a fun little project this past week: formatly 🧼. It detects whatever formatter -biome, deno fmt, dprint, or Prettier- a project is using and formats files with it. Hoping to grow this to be used in any project that writes source code for users. github.com/JoshuaKGoldb...

Hard to overstate how much a prestige TV limited series set in the Old West starring Tim Riggins and Tig from ‘Sons of Anarchy’ is Extremely My Shit www.imdb.com/title/tt2406...
Endings are the hardest part, in news or magazine stories or podcasts or novels. The intro and world-building and characters can all be great, but then the ending just...ends. This is a "The Other Valley" by Scott Alexander Howard appreciation post because this book is fan-freaking-tastic to the end
Always the cleanup crew. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Great stretch there by Jaylen Brown. 5 points and 2 assists in just over two minutes and the C's take the lead
Damar Hamlin doing literally anything is a stupendous achievement
The modern duel: kids riding their bikes toward each other with a foam noodle in one hand to see who can knock off the party hat on top of the other’s helmet first. Chivalry is not dead. (I’m at the farmers market)
