my superpower for predicting things? paying attention to what people with power say and do
People laughed a few days ago when @jamellebouie.net said we might not have flu shots next year, but:
I told you all @jeffbezos was feral. He’s now killed the Graham/Bradlee legacy of justice, the First Amendment and basic humanity in a vomitous spew of nonsense, testosterone fueled (and HGH) double talk that is more than a little pathetic and utterly shameless.
This is disgusting.

Voted for Trump, now have buyer’s remorse? The Trump philosophy seems to be his version of FAFO. Don’t buy anything on the 28th unless you absolutely have to.

the most surprising and disappointing aspect of becoming a global health philanthropist is the existence of an opposition team
Since I have defended and supported the WaPo in the months since the election and the infamous pulled endorsement, I feel obliged to say: this is very, very bad. A dear friend at a Post vet says it's the worst thing to happen to the Post in its long history, and I can't argue.
RESOLVED: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ is so much more expressive and therefore preferable than 🤷

Me, stuck in a traffic jam while going to the woods: “oh boy I hope all these people aren’t going to the woods”
I’m going on record: Life first happened when an RNA fucked a metabolism.
What I love is having opinions that are controversial enough to make a lot of people mad at me but that are also so boring they have no iconoclastic charge to them at all. For example: I Get Around is the best Beach Boys song
I think everything wrong with me medically could be fixed if a chiropractor suplexed me through a table
The US is intending to remove the "X" for gender on passports. I have non-binary friends and don't see why they have to pick an option that makes no sense, or how "X" harms other people. So I commented on the Federal Register.

Happy Anniversary to one of my favorite characters, John Economos, created by John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell. And in a strange coincidence today also happens to be the birthday of the actor who plays him, my pal Steve Agee.
Here he is in Season Two of #Peacemaker, out in August!
Surprise! We made a SEX CRIMINALS homage cover! We absolutely love this book, almost as much as we love Matt & Chip. You can pick this up on May 7th at your local comic shop. Preorder now!
A fairly common interaction for me lately...
Me: you can't trust this person, they lie incessantly. :proves particular lie:
Friend: Ugh, fine, you've convinced me. I guess I can't trust anybody, this is so frustrating.
Me: No, actually, you can trust many people, just not this particular one! 1/2

NEW: Eric Adams breaks with DOJ, asks Judge Ho to dismiss his case *with prejudice*, arguing that the published resignation letters of Danielle Sassoon and Hagen Scotten "destroyed whatever presumption of innocence Mayor Adams had left" for a future jury storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
A 2023 assessment found that NASA’s original plan for bringing Martian samples to Earth would be costlier and take longer than expected. What is the future of the mission?
based on my early experience of goodreads reviews, i'm not sure i will be as upset by the 1 and 2 star ones as much as the gushing, effusive ones that don't name anything they actually didn't like about the book, but are inexplicably only 4 stars
