Incredibly proud of what Conan did with the Oscars, but I wasn’t surprised he’d be hilarious, especially because he was supported by a genius crew of writers who had all worked on CONAN, some going all the way back to the Late Night days…
Are there any big box retailer Buyers here ? Curious how tariffs are impacting your Christmas Season buying ? My guess is that prices are going way up because of tariffs. Curious if this is accurate or not
Can’t stress this enough! And obviously neither the SEC or the DOJ (at least at the highest levels) is going to seriously investigate and prosecute insider trading.
Just an obvious point that anyone with the inside word on when these these total reversals are going to be announced is in a position to make almost limitless amounts of money. Don't forget that given the kind of people who make up this administration.

From today’s episode: Gov. JB Pritzker on the reality of DOGE’s cuts on Americans
Are there any other examples of times when reality breaks grammar and we just have to deal with it? Example: Zero...it's a number so it has to be singular or plural, but since it isn't singular or plural, we just made it plural. "There are zero marbles."

Last week: tariffs don't cause inflation - other countries pay the tariff, not American consumers This week: ok, so we lied about that, but the inflation is ultimately a good thing! Next week: listen, we need these austerity measures to defeat the depression and build back to prior levels of GDP
But if the price of goods is rising to facilitate the reinvigoration of American production and a transition to an economy that prioritizes domestic goods and markets, that’s a tradeoff we should consider.

Y'know, part of why I'm a bit cranky is that when I worked in the hotel industry, it was my literal job to help people and solve their problems. Part of that was answering phone calls! And although we had the option to send calls to central reservations if needed, we only did that when super busy.

This is so clearly corrupt. Also note it is coming from a news source that doesn’t prostrate itself for access. FWIW, we are now subscribers.
NEW: President Trump is hosting group and 1-1 dinners at Mar-a-Lago for $1M and $5M per seat, respectively. The've already become a "hot ticket" for business leaders. Where's the money going? Unclear, though one source said it would fund Trump's presidential library. www.wired.com/story/people...
The collapse of Chegg offers a preview of what is going to happen to a lot of companies when AI is finished pulping the web www.platformer.news/chegg-google...
It’s hard to feel much sympathy for Chegg. No company is entitled to Google traffic, and this one in particular enabled academic dishonesty at a scale that was previously unheard of. (Google called the lawsuit “meritless” in a statement to the Post.)

At the same time, the company is likely a bellwether. SEO experts told the Post that web pages that offer clear-cut answers to basic questions had seen a larger decline in traffic than others to date. But there’s no reason to believe the declines will stop there.
