That's how much Big Oil has spent over the last 30 years paying off Congress to look the other way on climate action while the planet burns.
Well, the planet is burning.
Don't let them look away.
An astrophysicist and a neurosurgeon concluded that the human brain and the universe basically grow as a result of similar physical principles.
Today’s House of Study goody looks at a myriad of similar connections, with many exquisite photos:

I would safely assume the house used as the location for the party in Can’t Hardly Wait is gone. It was nestled in the foothills of Altadena. I got to revisit a few years ago for a documentary on homes in movies. A beautiful, historic, 100+ year old estate.
These extraordinary photos of the LA fires have been shared widely on social media, often without crediting the photographer.

Turns out those scenes were almost bang on.
The unrealistic part was the humans working together to overcome the problem & save the world. Sigh.

I was interviewed at CES this morning. We mentioned that consumers will decide whether they want to be on a platform that is “unfiltered free speech “ or “ moderated”. I mentioned that I loved , and spontaneously people started clapping 🔥.
