The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices.
We hammered this time and time again and yet.
There's such a tone of sadness to the CBC reporting right now. Adrienne Arsenault says, “I feel like the whole country, all of us, are getting both a history lesson and a politics lesson and an economics lesson and a lesson in heartache.”
Questions for the Canadians out there. There seemed to be a pro Trump conservative movement that dragged down Trudeau.
Is that movement getting stronger or weaker ?
I am announcing retaliatory tariffs against the United States. If you are in the United States and you are reading this post you owe me 30 cents.

My boy JellyRoll is a real SAVIOR,,, he put together a show for first responders, firefighters, police, the military and all their families for free and at his own expenses to thank them for all their hard work here in California. and I are honored to have Public Enemy perform
As a passive beneficiary of US hegemony my life will be more difficult if it ends, but we seem determined to go in that direction, so
I guess the danger for USA is the same as what happened to UK after the idiocy of Brexit; the rest of Europe adapted and moved on. UK economy still struggling and politicians of major parties afraid to admit it.
Even before you raise the blinds, the silence give it away. Year’s first.
This feeling as a Mavs fan... it's like you went on Twitter and that election dude tweeted "I've seen enough: a golden retriever named Michael Jackson is the 48th President of the United States." You're not awaiting new information, you're wondering when you died and why the afterlife has Twitter.
So are Vancouver bartenders whipping up a maple syrup and tequila cocktail?
Here are the nice mushrooms I found

Anyone have any advice for living in a modern day East Germany
That may be true! But more work will be needed to figure out why ignored it, or simply didn’t know, when Trump repeatedly said he would do all those things.
Much work is needed to learn why voters who supported Dems in the past stayed home & why too many who voted D in the past took a flyer on Trump. But I'm certain, none of them wanted to pardon the Jan 6 traitors who assaulted police, fire top FBI investigators, or pick a trade war w/ Canada & Mexico.
Big thanks to everyone who stayed even though the show started two hours. About 85% of people stayed, which amazing. Thank you. (I don’t know what that insignia is btw. Everyone in event staff had that logo.)
Houston. The venue had an issue that has now been resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience but doors are now open. Show will start as soon as we can.
Scariest thing I’ve done as a parent: The recent CSS WG meeting had no childcare so Chris and I took our 5 year old with us and she sat quietly at her tablet during the meetings.
I was very apprehensive but she asked us to trust her, so we did. And she did great. So proud of her. 🥰
on threads I had the option to use a filter to read fewer political posts but here I’d prefer a filter that helped me not write them
On the next episode of the Andy Richter Call-In Show, my friend VEEP’s Matt Walsh and I want to hear your ROAD RAGE stories! Give us a call at 855-266-2604 or fill out the form at bit.ly/callandyrichter. What made you lose it behind the wheel? What was the dumbest thing you did or saw on the road?
