Imagine watching disaster movies like The Day After Tomorrow or 2012 and thinking that the apocalyptic weather scenes were the “unrealistic” part.

That is a lie.
The budget was actually *increased* by $50 million.
ABC, NBC & CBS dedicated about 16 minutes of airtime last night to the California wildfires without once mentioning climate change.

Every single thing that everybody suddenly wants to do in Greenland - mine for minerals! use shipping lanes! set up bases! - can be done right now, while Greenland is part of Denmark. The discussion of "occupying" Greenland is just a pointless piece of aggression towards an ally.

I went to the Jimmy Carter public visitation in the Capitol Rotunda last night. My friend and I arrived around 9pm. It was below 20 degrees with the wind chill.
Wait time? 3.5 hours. Thousands of people were waiting outside in the freezing cold for hours late at night to honor Jimmy Carter.
