With all the buzz around DeepSeek-V3 and -R1, I'm surprised that their suite of VLMs (DeepSeek-VL2 launched in December 2024) are so largely ignored even though they are pretty compact, in particular VL2-Tiny arxiv.org/abs/2412.10302
