This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Just filed a React-Redux issue with plans to officially mark the old `connect` API as deprecated soon:

Per the issue: I do _not_ intend to remove `connect`! Same deal as `createStore` - we don't think you should use it directly today, but it'd be a visual warning only.
