I am working on a COBOL to modern ERP system right now. Even using ChatGPT to convert COBOL to C# only gets us 70%-80% there. That last 20%-30% has to be done *really carefully* by hand and It-Takes-Time. Humans will suffer from this insanity. Seniors will become homeless from missed disbursements.
