A Thread of Tips for Writing Effective Alt Text
- Put all the necessary info first
- Put extra, skippable content at the end
- Screen readers try to read things phonetically, so use periods for acronyms. (Examples: 8 a.m. instead of 8 am. I.C.Y.M.I. instead of ICYMI)
- Do not use emojis as bullets
