So a month ago I had my first -- and hopefully only -- gout flare, and so I quit beer, sausage, shellfish, herring, and sardines. I cut drinks down to no more than one a day, with two only on Fridays. And my bloodwork now shows uric acid as normal.
How bad *was* my diet to provoke that flair...?
