We shouldn't have allowed our manufacturing to be offshored and wasted trillions of dollars on defense tech, we could have engaged in the labor protectionist trade policy to prevent this, and now we're entirely dependent on foreign manufacturing bottlenecks like TSMC. CHIPS act was an okay start.
