The Reddit one in particular is such an inexplicable own-goal. They could have just said, “we’re charging a lot to platforms that want to train their AI on Reddit posts” and people would have been *thrilled*. Why kill 3rd party reading apps? So foolish. Even those, they could have just required ads.
