This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Personally I’m with you, I’ve never quite understood why what you’re doing is supposed to be a bad idea. But yeah, the professionals use the Tailscale k8s operator which is apparently not too hard.
