You misunderstand me. I think Eliot's theory is common sense dressed up. The questions being asked aren't fundamental enough for it to really qualify.
Another way of putting it is his is a "pathogen" theory of disinformation, like @jagolinzer.bsky.social's. And that whole approach is PMC bunk.
