How is he my cousin? In 2020 a paper "Population genomics of the Viking world" was published in Nature (supplement linked). The DNA of 442 ancient people was tested, including my cousin. His mitochondrial DNA haplogroup was H3k1a, which means we share a grandmother. How cool is that! (2/3)
