This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I agree those would be good things. They do, however, slow down the speed or raise the cost of building in some cases. So I foresee a mixture of designs of different kinds. Or perhaps a simple checklist of pre-priced upgrades, like this:
