do you mean the VA study? this isn't the one I'm thinking of but is an example of these kinds of conclusions. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36357676/ it does not (cannot) control for race, gender, age, pre-existing medical conditions, health statuses unique to veterans.
