I get an unreasonable amount of pleasure from breezy citations of deep historical papers. My current favorite is from Hughes et al. 2023 in Astronomical Journal: "Reducing optical aberration has been the dominant challenge of telescope optical design for some time (Kepler et al. 1611; King 2003)".🧪🔭
