As the US-EU Privacy Framework for cross-border data transfers depends upon FTC enforcement, this is likely the death knell for such transfers. Based on Schrems II and the moves by Trump (including firing folks from PCLOB), data transfer to the US under any mechanism might not be valid anymore.
