This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

that's genuinely a great idea and I'd welcome it. caching is possible directly in https://github.com/unjs/ipx and so it should just be matter of wiring it up properly to `nuxt/image`
