This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

1) this is now built-in to node and doesn't require a separate package, and
2) the creator of `dotenv` advises people to use `dotenvx` instead.
I don't think this is meant to be hostile to the maintainer.
