After debugging this issue with the Shanwan PS3 clone ctrl for the last 4 days, I'm pretty sure the problem is with the ESP32 controller FW. I get the same issue using the ESP32 with BlueZ. This competely remove BlueRetro from the equation. Opened a bug with espressif https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/15133
