Have not been on an aircraft where the lavatories are in the cargo hold, below the passenger cabin before. Lufthansa opted to do this on their A340-600s in order to make more room for economy seats. It reminds me of the lower level on an Amtrak train. (https://dshanske.com/t/2Ya)
