This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

the Switch 2 Pro Controller’s grip buttons feel like they’re half way to being a great feature because you can’t map them to button combos. and of course Nintendo doesn’t offer any kind of way to send feature requests so they’ll probably always be limited to a single button press
