I hate that the holidays I celebrate are days off for everyone, even when they don't celebrate, but my Jewish and Muslim friends have to take PTO.
If you're in HR, an easy solve for this is to give floating holidays as a benefit. My work gives us 12/year (one day per month) to use whenever.
