This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

If I trust this comment, it's because with NGEN, generic type specializations can live in a different assembly. So when resolving a generic, .NET scans the assemblies to deduplicate them.
