I reworked the picture multiple times but couldn’t manage to make Lier not look chubby. But honestly, it’s kind of boring that everyone in the family is thin anyway—it suits her. I also wanted to give her a different hobby. It’s still creative, but now it’s painting pottery and stuff like that!

I love autumn illustrations because the colors are just so beautiful—like a giant apple world XD! I was about to write, "and no autumn picture is complete without a hedgehog," when I realized I actually forgot to include the hedgehog from the sketch. Oops.

My favorite this year! Cozy, cute, and I love the colors. I also really like the creatures from the imaginary video game for the calendar. Mara (on the right) isn’t in her usual pink, frilly princess look—but the frog with a crown still gives a nod to it. Also, I need this Blåhaj Kigurumi!

For the July picture, I wanted it to feel warm and have a bit of retro charm. Although, to be honest, I have no idea what retro charm actually is. For me, it feels like I achieved it, but since I don’t really know what defines retro charm, it might just be my own interpretation *laughs*.

In most of the calenders pictures, you can easily tell that they’re digital, but I think this specific image looks fascinatingly similar to the other aquarium pictures I’ve painted traditionally. I think it has a lot to do with the blue overlay. Oh, and: Blåhaj love! :D
