Working on the project, the Standing Dead in my studio today. These are rubbings of burned trees near my home in Montana. I use the charcoal from the actual tree to make the rubbings with my hands. New prints for the Standing Dead project. I make rubbings of burnt trees in the forest near my home using the char from the tree. I then photograph these rubbings and use the negative images for these prints.
