I have been so unwell since Friday. :( I'm so sick of soup, dry crackers and lucozade. I've managed to get out of bed and do some dishes, have a shower and put on fresh clothes today, so that's a big win IMO.

I only got an hour or so of sleep last night (ongoing insomnia issue) but in that hour I had this vivid dream that a beautiful, gothy/witchy, girlfriend surprised me with a visit to a cotswold spa hotel and told me she would make all the decisions so my brain could rest. I woke up and cried.

Got to improv my tits off tonight in HighRollers/DnD. Love it when I get to come up with fucked up, deeply personal, meaningful ritual magic bullshit with a player who is so deeply invested, creatively minded, and eager to explore terrible consequences for their character. <3

24 Aug 2026 14:28 +0000

Also I bought myself flowers (cos lol nobody else is going to) and excited for these sunflowers to bloom! <3

24 Aug 2026 13:07 +0000

I just got to write a very short section about the metaphysics/lore behind the concept of Magic and how it is used in my homebrew TTRPG world for my Campaign Setting book. I'm not very smart when it comes to sciencey/smart stuff, but it's fun to approach it as a creative!

HighRollers time!! Going live now!

23 Aug 2026 14:01 +0000

Reminder that I will be at World's Lair, a TTRPG event in London on November 7th! I'll be doing a small meet & greet and playing in a Live Discworld TTRPG game in the evening! I finished a first draft of an D&D 5.5 Artificer Magical Tailor subclass today. As Artificer is not in the SRD I can't monetise it, but believe I could give it out for free? Let me know if you'd like to see it and I'll try and make it pretty & put it up for download somewhere <3

Stardew Valley & Fields of Mistria have been my wind down games in the evenings. I think this would turn out a pretty solid deal on my part. 😆 [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Going live for a special D&D Deep Dive stream for the Altheya Campaign Guide playtest! Talking design, inspiration and answering questions! (And new art!!) Twitch.tv/marabunny

14 Aug 2026 13:37 +0000

All of my player characters are main characters in Altheya. I love them equally (genuinely). But one of them does channel a lot more "main character aura"... Xantheus is the Gojo of our campaign. Beautiful art, Simon! Great job! [contains quote post or other embedded content]

If you like D&D / TTRPG stuff, especially homebrew design and creation, then come join my stream at 6pm UK time today! I'll be doing a deep dive on the Playtest material for the Altheya Campaign Guide which I'm releasing with Roll & Play Press after our amazing Kickstarter!
