https://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.socialhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lf5wpdxauk2fHow’s everyone doing? Slow start to the year grassroots wise due to the weather! My club have not only got waterlogged pitches, but the 4Gs were hire for training are out is of action (not quite ‘all weather’). Anyone managed to get any games on? Any stand out games or scores?07 Jan 2025 15:11 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lf5wpdxauk2fhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lcksyvpncc26Another weekend of grim weather ahead, storms, wind and rain. Fixtures looking likely for everyone or is a weekend off on the horizon?05 Dec 2024 13:54 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lcksyvpncc26https://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lc3rzkwef22zHow's the grassroots army looking for the weekend? Everyone's pitches recovered from the snow and ice enough to play ?Any interesting fixtures ahead?29 Nov 2024 14:27 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lc3rzkwef22zhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbwbexoe5c24Welcome to all new followers, love to know your involvement with the grassroots/amateur game. How you got into ? What you do? Why it's better than the top flight pro game 😀27 Nov 2024 09:46 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lbwbexoe5c24https://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbs4aqv5bs2fHere's one that always interests me, I know most (me included) grow up supporting a large club, or at least a pro club. Since getting into grass roots, or non league fandom, how much has that changed your relationship with the club you grew up supporting? Does it matter less? Has that love gone?25 Nov 2024 18:03 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lbs4aqv5bs2fhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbrzgytwic2f@davenich0.bsky.social Thanks for the follow and recommendation Dave. Taken in any decent games this weekend?24 Nov 2024 17:38 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lbpkdxz3ik2vhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbpkchdjp22vPersonally it drives me mad that seasons finish mid May when we’re just had a couple of months of better conditions. If it ran until 2nd week in July (when schools break up) that’s another 8 weekends, light midweek nights and pitches in good condition. Crazy that we stop just as that happens.24 Nov 2024 17:37 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lbpkchdjp22vhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbpk7fwmic2vQuestion for the UK based followers. Bearing in mind the lack of quality pitches and the price of 4G. Is there a case to make grassroots football a summer activity. Or at last amend the schedule?24 Nov 2024 17:35 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lbpk7fwmic2vhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lbpk4loogc2v@teeggie.bsky.social thanks for following. I've got my under 15s in the morning (relegation battle!), then off to watch open age men's team in the cup. Sunday morning off to watch a couple of our high flying girls junior teams in action. Quality of pitches? Schedule? Obsession with results? The black pellets from astro pitches? I mean, we all know it’s the last one, but what else? Love to hear your thoughts then please share so we can hear from more of the grassroots army.14 Nov 2024 20:46 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3lawq7wssuk2hhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lawq2twto22h@iwin1961.bsky.social thanks for following Ian, what’s your grassroots story mate? Your most 'grassroots' moment? I've once had to substitute a player (u7s) as he got obsessed with a clump of mud on his heel and wouldn't play on. Tried to bring another lad on, he said no as he hadn't finished building a snowman with the piled up snow taken off the pitch.14 Nov 2024 14:36 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3law3jrgtwc2uhttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3law2wd7qnk2aThank you to all the new followers, hoping we can get more and more and build a proper community, a shared space to assist each other and obviously to vent and rant! I'm a level 2 coach, chair of a large mixed ability community club and coach under 15s. Feel free to share your grassroots story.14 Nov 2024 14:25 +0000at://did:plc:cjgg4fuoova7rwft3ftbk3o6/app.bsky.feed.post/3law2wd7qnk2ahttps://bsky.app/profile/grassrootsfootball.bsky.social/post/3lavvibgqls2a@hapsnirwal.bsky.social Thank you for the follow!
