I'm now allowed to take the sling off if I'm just chilling around the house and such. The incision is healing well, but I'm gonna have a gnarly scar.01 Oct 2026 16:02 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mwta7oemr22phttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mwpizq5et222My gamers and I are having so much fun with the Justice League Unlimited TTRPG. I woke up to the sensation of being numb. It finally wore off somewhere around two in the afternoon, which is both good and bad. It was nice to be able to feel and move my hand again, but then the pain kicked in. At this point, I'm handling it OK19 Sep 2026 13:05 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvuqpr6j222vhttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mvrcgmdtec26Surgery on the arm apparently went well. The nerve blocker they gave me is still going, though I imagine it will wear off while I'm asleep. Afterwards, there was a boy of perhaps 10, and he was reenacting Legolas shooting orcs at Amon Hen. No audience...just living in his fired-up imagination.27 Aug 2026 21:42 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mu3svjlmd22fhttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtyz4glo5c2oMet with my orthopedic surgeon today, and there's what I would call mixed news. On the good side, the brake does not appear to have been as severe as I thought. On the downside, he sent me for a CAT scan to get a more precise look at what's going on in my arm. So no firm answers on a path forward.26 Aug 2026 18:55 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mtyz4glo5c2ohttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtyocyaguk2nDeath, your aim sucks. You could take someone whose passing would bring so much joy, but instead you take Dolly and Tim, and we have to mourn instead.26 Aug 2026 15:42 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mtyocyaguk2nhttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtxa3ydhi22aTwo episodes in, and here is my spoiler free review: Lanterns is fantastic. I have been so excited for this show, and everyone and it is so good. The writing is really delivering everything I could possibly want. 26 Aug 2026 01:55 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mtxa3ydhi22ahttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtwp67josk2kWith Dolly Parton, one thing I would say is that she was a true Christian, and I can mean it as a compliment. Unlike so many who simply talk the talk, she completely walked the walk. She was an incredibly beautiful person, heart and soul.25 Aug 2026 20:52 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mtwp67josk2khttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtu4n2u6k22mWell, I was holding off until I had more definite news, but alas, I must report that when I took my fall this weekend, apparently I gave my arm what is called a comminual fracture. Wednesday morning, I'm gonna go find out if it's going to require surgery, or what. i'm not thrilled about it, but…24 Aug 2026 20:15 +0000at://did:plc:dosepvcq7pm3x4et56buddvk/app.bsky.feed.post/3mtu4n2u6k22mhttps://bsky.app/profile/aethan.bsky.social/post/3mtrr37jqb22iYeah, the situation is not great.
