Our MOHOSTs assessment forms do not have a section for pain specifically. I think we need a specific section for fatigue and pain. Because both highlight the experiences that lead to not being able to do occupations & could help with PIP applications Thoughts?

Trying to learn about HRT & EDS and the webinar I’m watching the (male) doctor refers to people going through menopause as “ladies” and referred to the male partners. OT assessments: Our assessments have always included aspects of ability as well as challenges; however now with the PIP cuts, I feel like if I write anything someone CAN do on a MOHOST, it would be used to cut that persons benefits.

I often feel as an OT that I can’t do anything for patients anymore. I’m starting to think the most beneficial thing is robust assessments which provide direct evidence for disability benefits. But then I remember no one reads our OT assessments ☹️🙃

I caught Influenza B. I don’t know where but it has been like Covid on steroids & I thought Covid was bad (all 7 times I’ve had it!) I had the flu vaccine and feel like if I didn’t have it I’d be dead. I bought a test online for £5 mainly because I was worried about bird flu!

When I worked on a mental health ward, here’s what Christmas tree 🎄 decorations were banned: - fairy lights - tinsel - glass - some plastic ornaments - anything with wire - some metal ornaments - string Basically paper chains were our friend & a tree with built in lights 🙂
