Recent strong NWly winds have enhanced upwelling of cold ocean water along immediate CA coast from Monterey northward, temporarily alleviating near-shore marine heatwave there. But SoCal coastal waters remain very warm, & NorCal ocean warming will likely resume sooner vs later.
