Love that my dogs spilled an entire coffee on my open laptop today, completely frying it. Especially fun that when I handed it to IT, it dripped a little coffee out and he just said I would never be seeing it again. I’m working on a collaborative grant with some UC colleagues from the chemistry and physics departments and let me tell you, I’m definitely not a chemist/physicist! As a #newPI at a small institution, I’m looking to save money on equipment in the lab. What are people’s thoughts on used equipment? Things you would definitely buy used or would only buy new? Any advice is appreciated as well as reputable used sources!

Science friends! I’m looking for a quick (<50 min) hands-on activity about echinoderms for my marine invert class. I had considered sea star dissections, but looks like that’s not super great these days. Suggestions??
