Bought new markers on a whim & been drawing again for the first time in bloody aaaaages. Perhaps a decade or so since I really drew last time. Ain’t nothin’ fancy but it’s soooo nice to be drawing again. And a good marker just hits different.

This is how I find out that Robert Redford died?? Bloody hell.. We lost a beautiful man. AFAIK, no controversies, no creepy behaviour, no antivaxx, not a racist bastard. (yeah, the bar is low 😔) Just wonderful performances & a smile that would melt you. May the soil be soft for you, Robert. ✌️ [contains quote post or other embedded content]

These seats in a bus look like a 90s texture, before bump mapping or any of that fancy nonsense. Nothing but simple optical illusions, just like god intended. #textures #texturing #gamedev

One more #gamedev got hit. #ABZU & #ThePathless are both stunning. Not personally familiar (yet!) with #SwordOfTheSea but based on the trailer, it’s just as gorgeous, with beautiful enviros, views & vistas. Know someone looking for anything related to environments? You know what to do. [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Made some “fancy” noodles last night with an untranslated guide. Surely Google Translate would have my back, right? Google Translate did not, in fact, have my back. “Stir, stir, add dried water.” “Separation of powdered powder and powdered powder.” Truly words to live by.

Ended up trying Forest Shuffle at a local Con (shoutout to #ropecon) & what a delightful game it is! You get to create a forest! With animals! And plants & berries & moss, etc! Such a feel good game. Engine-building like Wingspan but a bit simpler & more animals. And trees! Can’t forget the trees.

Please tell me it’s not just me but this wear a mask-sign I ran into screams more “warning, cyborg ahead” than anything health related, right? Right? I could be persuaded to see Hannibal Lecter as well, now that I think of it. 🤔

I saw this & I made one of my quickest & strongest double take in a while. “Friendfarming”? “Friendslop”? Sir, we’ve reached levels of terminally online previously thought to be only theoretically possible. I’m afraid to push further because anything beyond this has never felt the touch of grass.

Midsummer came & went, as it does every year. I hope y’all had a wonderful nightless night, wherever you found yourself. 🙏 On these shores midsummer magic was stamped out a long time ago but on eves like these, it’s easy to see why they came to be. The nightless night is full of whimsy & mystique.

🎉I’ll always celebrate ppl getting their game out there (a Steam-page with a demo counts def counts)! 👏 Doubly so when it’s their first game! 🪐 Triple-y so when it’s a cool concept (4X space game with a great proc. generated world and surprising anomalies, events & planets is pretty slick)! My local video game store (1 of the 2 still standing) is throwing a midnight launch party for the #switch2 Haven’t seen those in a while. Now wondering -Am I too old for this? -Should I take Friday off? ..would younger me be disappointed that I’m even wondering this instead of just doing it? 🤔

Safe to say that Expedtion 33 has broken through when even my non-gaming, boomer dad reaches out to me to froth about the game. 🤔

We’ve just become the Todd Howard’s of our own lives. This and the Skyblivion and Skywind and Tamriel Rebuilt. The people, not Bethesda, are rereleasing and remastering the Elder Scroll’s games. [contains quote post or other embedded content]

This might be a daft question, but what genre is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? I don’t think “turn-based RPG” is really a genre, even if that’s what Wikipedia is calling it with a straight face. Game genres don’t make a lot of sense and I reckon #JRPG is outdated. idk 🤷‍♀️ #clairobscur #expedition33

Don’t wanna flex but I met this dapper lil’ gent today. Eino is his name & today is his 9th birthday! Look at his lil’ booties! He has them bc his paws are a bit sensitive. 🥹 He was so hyper it was real hard to get a good shot but I think it only adds to the pic, showing the true nature of Eino.

@remapradio.bsky.social Yo, this might be a whack question but how does the question bucket work these days? Is it still to send an email with the topic of “QUESTION” and then praying for any & all gods that it gets picked?

Bada bastu! Let’s goooo 🇸🇪! Never been more proud of Sweden than tonight: Choosing a Finnish band to rep Sweden in #Eurovision. ✌️ The wound Sweden inflicted in the 2023 Eurovision may finally start healing. <3 Fun fact: In the past 25 years there’s been only 2 acts in Swedish, both by Finns. :D

I’m watching Breaking Bad for the first time (yea yea yea) & I gotta say, great storytelling, compelling characters & delightful cinematography. Enjoying season 3. BUT! I always thought people exaggerated the Mexico-filter but goddamn..! Someone turned the colour correction to straight up lemon. 🍋

White strawberries? Has science gone too far? 🤔 That look like -they’ve had all the juice sucked out of them? -someone thought “you know what, strawberries _are_ too spicy” & then made an affront to nature. Made me question this whole “let’s form a civilisation, what’s the worst that can happen?”

Following @pantmonger.bsky.social & @cerberusxt.bsky.social got me into figure painting again. Been 20+ years since I’ve painted but it was so fun! Need better glasses tho. :D Tried painting highlights from a light source for the first time & while it isn’t great (but decent-ish!) I learned heaps.

Repost with the first album you bought with your own money. Michael Jackson’s Dangerous as a preused cassette. Good times. The first brand new album with my own money was Offspring’s Americana. I sang along a *lot*. My parents must’ve loved it. Yea, I (thought I) was a pretty fly for a white guy. [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Need some opinions. Specifically game devs and game designers but all opinions are welcome. ✌️ We had a looooong discussion at work about jigsaw puzzles. 1️⃣ Are they board games? 2️⃣ Are they games at all? We’re kinda at a standstill. Need some outside opinions to bring peace to our slack. 🙏

Backed this bad boy earlier today & now it’s on my feed bc of ppl here sharing it? Coincidence? I think not! It’s the Kickstarter illumati! Ooor it’s likeminded ppl interested in similar things? Who’s really to say? 🤷‍♀️ A nice, easy way to find new, not just AAA, games to play? Yes pleeease. 🙏 [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Didn't realise I can play Jacob Geller in Saros. A spiritual successor to Returnal was all I needed to hear. I was already in, baby. Seeing the face of Geller? More than hyped! Housemarque, are you making this game just for me? Because I'm here for it. 🙏🏼 @jacobgeller.com @silliet.bsky.social

Yo, why did nobody tell me that #DragonAge dwarves have face tattoos that are essentially just aggressive contouring? Thanks to this, I accidentally created a dwarven gigachad. Wife adores the Dragon Age games so I promised her to play them all & Chaddius here is my guide through Origins.

“Further, their standing with fans has also been shaken by their adoption of DEI-based corporate philosophies, as many players have found themselves fed up with any such political or social agendas coming anywhere near their video games.” This is CDPRs problem according to the writer?
