Their abysmal app signed me out and I didn’t have time to go through the tortuous process of resetting it. Bought ticket from machine which wouldn’t go through the ticket machine and missed my train and am stuck here for another 30 mins03 Oct 2026 15:05 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mwy5xo66xk27https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mwo3ldqqks27First reaction: Burnham’s speech was brilliant. Haven’t had goosebumps like that since the Obama years. I think the triple lock gping in these circumstances is probably fair. Lots for Lib Dems to work with and modify Labour’s one size fits all instincts. And electoral reform! Yay!!!!!29 Sep 2026 14:56 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mwo3ldqqks27https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw4wyzten22yAlso 13 minutes in I realised I had a no hoper in our sweepstake. #gbbo22 Sep 2026 19:19 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw4wyzten22yhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw4wxoutbs2yHow the hell did they get away with THAT introduction of Nigella #gbbo?22 Sep 2026 19:18 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw4wxoutbs2yhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw3tsh2z5c2iSo these scary Lib Dem trans activists, what are they like rhen? https://www.libdemvoice.org/what-does-a-lib-dem-trans-activist-look-like-80500.html22 Sep 2026 08:49 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw3tsh2z5c2ihttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw2krwzics2bRebecca Jones and Lucas North quoted in this Guardian article on #ldconf trans rights debate https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/sep/21/lib-dems-reject-ruling-transgender-people-brighton-conference?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other21 Sep 2026 20:35 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw2krwzics2bhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw2athooms2dThe motion calling for a rethink of equality law so that everyone can live in dignity and safety matters deeply to all liberals. While trans people are most profoundly affected most of us know the dangers of standing by while marginalised peoole are picked on by the state and the media. #ldconf21 Sep 2026 17:37 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw2athooms2dhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw26ph3kos22I wish @libdemwomen.bsky.social chair @libdemdonna.bsky.social had been called to reiterate that the official organisation representing women in the party fully supports the motion. She is quoted in today's Telegraph - details in thread #ldconf21 Sep 2026 16:59 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw26ph3kos22https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw25uyeav222Well, @rigg.lgbt gave the best summation I have ever heard. Debunked all the misinformation and called out the misgendering we heard from the two anti-trans speakers. As someone said, we need more gobby northern women telling it like it is. #ldconf21 Sep 2026 16:44 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw25uyeav222https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mw24rkm42222What an incredibly moving speech by Rebecca Jones "I am tired of being an attack ad. I just want to live my life in peace. " We have to make it possible for her to live her life in quiet dignity, as she deserves. #ldconf21 Sep 2026 16:24 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mw24rkm42222https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvvmggqhfs2qMuch more excited about the new #strictly than I had been. New presenting team works well and I was surorised by Josh Widdecombe who seemed really enthusiastic about it all. Some really fab pairings. Poor Lauren though.19 Sep 2026 21:21 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvvmggqhfs2qhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvvblxrpkk2fI usually avoid the #ldconf rally because it is often a bit cringey. However, tonight, this is liberalism wearing its heart on its sleeve. Lib Dem councillors and candidates saying why they are Lib Dems and what they want to do. Anton Georgiou from Brent making me cry on need to support refugees.19 Sep 2026 18:07 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvvblxrpkk2fhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvv6bd6qgs2uBeing on the committee that runs #ldconf is hard work and Jennie does it brilliantly. Much colder and blowing a gale. Very Autumnal so pot of lentil soup bubbling away on the hob.19 Sep 2026 12:01 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvun5utzzk2fhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvumv42pqs2fPlease send me happy and busy #ldconf photos to make me smile and put on @libdemvoice.org19 Sep 2026 11:56 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvumv42pqs2fhttps://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvumhavc3k2fListening to @nickdacosta.bsky.social chair the maternity debate. His voice is always very comforting. Apparently people from all parties agree - no it isn't! We need to fix politics before we can fix the country. Interesting proposition on lengthening the school day so that pupils can take part in after school activities without having to worry about getting home.19 Sep 2026 09:26 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvueiirdoc27https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvueao6tus27Already spending much more time listening to debates than I would normally do at #ldconf - usually I'm flitting about the place to meetings or looking after the @pluslibdems.bsky.social or @libdemwomen.bsky.social stalls. Very much missing the chats with people.19 Sep 2026 09:22 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvueao6tus27https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvucqjlyfk27Thanks to the @conference.libdems.org.uk team, I have an online voting code so I have just used it to vote for the motion on improving temporary accommodation and its two amendments from @libdemwomen.bsky.social and @ldcre.bsky.social #ldconf19 Sep 2026 08:55 +0000at://did:plc:l5mxlagakpg3ieof6fqlllwf/app.bsky.feed.post/3mvucqjlyfk27https://bsky.app/profile/caronmlindsay.bsky.social/post/3mvuc7k45dk27Really proud to hear @pruebray.bsky.social talk about the good quality temporary accommodation and supported accommodation that the @libdems.org.uk Council in Wokingham.
