One the MMX randomizer folder needed to be in the Bizhawk folder. The second issue was this program was only created for windows. So in the boot.lua file I had to go into lines 70 - 73 and change all the \\ to / since linux uses / for its file structure. I have dropped it and I am running CachyOS on both the laptop and the desktop now. No shade to Bazz it's absolutely great at what it is trying to be but I wanted a bit more control at the end of the day.
