I am suddenly faced with a dearth in RPG gaming. 2 of the groups I play in have had life issues pop up that have forced us into unplanned hiatus. Many of our summer sessions were canceled due to vacations. Guess I'll start GMing another campaign. GMing 3 active games/week might be a stretch...

Working on home network upgrades for fiber internet install. This time next week we should have 2gb/s fiber Internet. House wasn't wired for data, but was wired for cable TV. Using 2.5gb/s MoCA adapters for ethernet over coax. Installed & tested MoCA network today & it looks like we're fiber-ready!

Progress has been made on the new MoCA network. Coax cables traced and tested. Testing the adapters later today. New fiber internet service getting installed tomorrow. Now to get power outlets into the closet where all of this stuff will be housed.

After yesterday's deep-dive on the ACA, I can boil down mounds of rules to this simple bottom-line: self-employed/small business folks purchasing health insurance on the Marketplace, if your income is more than 400% of the poverty level (FPL) you are totally screwed if you don't at least break 500%.

We found a novel solution to our health insurance affordability issues. Insurance becomes affordable and we'll have more spending money if we cut our income roughly in HALF. This is truly the strangest world I have ever known.

Count your blessings if you live in a place w/ healthcare based on health instead of profit. 2026 health insurance for 2 healthy people is $25k/yr w/ $15k deductible. That's the low premium plan.
