I can't begin to imagine the discrimination and outright hatred she must have endured as the first Black woman in the Army Air Corps. I'm astounded by the inner strength and resolve which Nancy Leftenant-Colon must have had. No surprise she lived to 104. She has my gratitude, and my admiration.
