Here's something annoying... When you write a scene with two same-gender characters, Character 2's action beat can also be read as if they're doing the action to Character 1.
"Should we do the heist?" Hank asked.
Gary rubbed his chin. "Let's think about it."
"Fine, but leave my chin alone."
