The mask reasoning really does seem like a less attention-grabbing pretext for “correcting” the invitation of an author of unmistakably queer and erotic work. A tactic suggested by somebody who didn’t realize that the mask isn’t a “bit” but an accommodation, which gives it away. Very disappointing
