This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

esmbot uses the tenor API to get raw files because it can be a bit difficult to do so otherwise; by comparison, with giphy links it's possible to just change the URL to get a raw file
it will be unable to handle tenor links if this takes effect, i'll be looking into how to handle them without it
