We knew H2O and CH4 spectral signatures and still got confused. Do we know the spectral signatures of DMS well enough to not confuse it with something else?
No, we don't. Even the authors themselves acknowkedge this.
In the mean time abiotic pathways for DMS were pointed out. Which are NOT cited.
