In the movie "Mars Attacks!" the idiotically optimistic humans keep organizing grand peace summits with the aliens, only for the martians to play nice for about 15 seconds and then find an excuse to kill everyone with death rays.
Not sure what about Trump and Rutte at NATO made me think of that.
