This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

I managed to get it working in the end, it's a matter of providing a different useSearchParams hook that respects the shallow / optimistic updates that @nuqs.47ng.com does under the hood.
Remix's useSearchParams can still give you the initial state, but sometimes you may want it to be reactive.
