This is a heavily interactive web application, and JavaScript is required. Simple HTML interfaces are possible, but that is not what this is.

Apparently, `NSTextAttachment` is very limited in what it can do. Simple things like opacity and scale hover effects aren't possible by default. That's a bummer... 😔
