It has two owners. Amtrak owns the majority of it, and Metro North owns a section in New York and Connecticut. Also freight railroads didn’t just buy up the tracks, they’ve always owned them. That’s been a fixture of our rail system pretty much since the beginning - 200 years in 2027.
