An AI is "being human" if and only if the benchmark it was tuned on is "measuring personhood." We could have our debates at the level of the benchmarks and maybe things would be clearer? See for example OpenAI's "GDPVal: Evaluating AI Model Performance on Real-World Economically Valuable Tasks"
