A wonderful belt buckle dating to the late 4th or early 5th century, it was excavated at Catterick Roman Fort. It comprises of a pair of seahorses and an upright dolphin at either end. The curators report states that it was probably from the belt of an officer. Image courtesy of the British Museum.
